Do I have to forward every email?
No. Set a one-time Gmail or Outlook filter to forward only messages containing
"receipt" or "invoice" to your unique
@in.clarni.ai address. Even then, anything that isn't a subscription
receipt is discarded the moment we read it.
Can Clarni read my whole inbox?
No. We only ever see the emails you forward to your Clarni address. There's no OAuth login into Gmail or Outlook and no access to your mailbox — forwarding is the only way data reaches us.
What data do you actually store?
Only the structured subscription metadata we extract: service, plan, amount, currency, and renewal date. Raw message content is retained only briefly during processing, and we never touch your bank, card numbers, or transaction history.
Can I export or delete my data?
Anytime. Export your full dataset as CSV or JSON, or permanently delete your account and everything in it from settings. See our privacy policy for the details.
Which providers and languages are supported?
Any service that emails a receipt, in any language — parsing is AI-based, not a fixed list, so niche and regional subscriptions work too. Forwarding works with Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, and any provider that supports filters or auto-forward rules.
How accurate is renewal detection?
We read the renewal date directly from the receipt when it's present and send escalating reminders 14, 7, 3, and 1 day before the charge. When a receipt is ambiguous we flag it for a quick confirmation rather than guess, so an alert is never based on a bad assumption.
A while back I wanted one simple thing: to see every subscription I was paying for in one place. Every app I tried asked me to connect my bank account first — handing over read access to my entire financial life just to track a handful of monthly charges.
That trade felt absurd. The receipts already land in my inbox. So I built Clarni to work from those alone: forward an email, and we parse the service, amount, and renewal date — and nothing else. No bank logins, no transaction history, no data you didn't choose to share.
